Candidate Projects

The SPC’s Candidate Projects represent a carefully curated pipeline of investment opportunities aligned with the platform’s core themes, including life sciences, environmental solutions, and related high-growth sectors. Each project undergoes rigorous preliminary screening for commercial viability, technological differentiation, and measurable impact potential.

Selected candidates are evaluated for scalable business models, clear pathways to value creation, and compatibility with the segregated portfolio structure. The objective is to identify assets that combine strong fundamentals with attractive risk-adjusted returns, enabling efficient capital allocation across distinct portfolios within the SPC framework.

Barto Gold Mine

The Barto mining area is located 396 kilometers east of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and 200 kilometers west of Kalgoorlie, the renowned "World Gold Town." Barto is situated within the central region of Australia's famous greenstone belt metallogenic belt, which has historically yielded over 10 million ounces of gold. The Barto mining area covers a total license area of approximately 591 km², comprising 178 mineral tenements. This includes 125 mining leases, with the remainder consisting of exploration and miscellaneous licenses.

As of August 31, 2025, the area's total mineral resources are estimated at 38.953 million tonnes of ore, containing 3.773 million ounces of gold, with an average grade of 2.9 g/t.

Since gaining control of the project in 2017, Barto has maintained 8 consecutive years of production and operation. The current annual gold production ranges between 60,000-80,000 ounces. Operating at full capacity under the current mining grade, production has the potential to approximately double from its current level.

Shaanxi Jiuzhou Biomedical Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiuzhou Group”) was established in September 2006 with a registered capital of RMB 260 million. It is jointly invested by Shaanxi Jiuzhou Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (53.85%, founder shareholder) and Shaanxi High-Tech Industry Investment Co., Ltd. (46.15%, state-owned). The company is headquartered at No. 196, Keji 6th Road, Xi’an High-Tech Zone.

Its primary business focuses on the research, development, transformation, and professional platform services of cell biotechnology. The Group currently employs 407 staff, of whom 76% hold bachelor’s degrees or higher, and more than 30% possess master’s or doctoral degrees.

Construction of the Shaanxi Jiuzhou Biomedical Science and Technology Park (now the Shaanxi Jiuzhou Stem Cell Science and Technology Industrial Park) began in 2002 and was designated as a key provincial project under the 11th Five-Year Plan. By the early stage of the 12th Five-Year Plan, a domestic cell and gene industry transformation platform had been established, forming an integrated industrial chain covering cell collection and storage, testing, production and preparation, as well as clinical research and application. Major industrial transformation projects, including the “International Cell and Gene Industry Transformation Base,” have been included in Shaanxi Province’s key projects under the 14th Five-Year Plan.

At present, Jiuzhou Group has developed an industrial layout characterized by “One Park, One Chain, One Center”—comprising the Shaanxi Jiuzhou Stem Cell Science and Technology Industrial Park, a complete cell biotechnology industrial chain, and the Jiuzhou Medical Center.
